Animal Carer Experience
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be part of our animal care team at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, then an Animal Carer Experience could be for you!
This once in a lifetime experience will give you the opportunity to join our animal care team for the day, as you take care of our big cats, farm animals, primates, reptiles, wallabies and more. Enjoy close encounters with our lemurs, meerkats and minibeasts, and help to give our rescued lions and tigers their daily enrichment!
Every Animal Carer Experience is slightly different, but each one will offer you an amazing chance to step into the role of an animal carer and learn more about what they do as you assist with their duties. Accompanied by your very own expert guide, you will get a unique insight into life behind the scenes at the Sanctuary as you help to prepare food for our animals, clean out their habitats, and provide enrichment toys for our big cats. Lunch is provided on the day, but please make our team aware at the time of booking if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies.
After your Animal Carer Experience, you are more than welcome to spend the rest of your day at the Sanctuary – and, if time allows, you can also return within 7 days for just £1 per person. What great value!

For the safety of our animals, all visitors are required to wear a face mask. If you are exempt from wearing a mask, a face shield must be worn instead. If you are unable to wear a mask or shield, please get in touch with our team before making a booking.
