Ever wondered what it would be like to be part of our animal care team at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary? If so, an Animal Carer Experience could be perfect for you!
Become part of our team and help care for our wallabies, farm animals, primates, reptiles, big cats and more! Including close encounters with our meerkats, lemurs and minibeasts. Meet our big cats up close and let them out for their afternoon enrichment.
Accompanied by your very own VIP Guide our Animal Carer Experience involves a cross-section of the animals we have here at the sanctuary. This full day experience offers you the amazing opportunity to step in to the animal carer’s role and learn what they do, as you assist with their duties including, for example, cleaning, food preparation, animal husbandry and enrichment. Whether you’re chopping up fruit for the lemurs, sweeping up after the meerkats or providing enrichment for our big cats, you’ll get a unique insight into life behind the scenes at the sanctuary. Lunch is provided on the day, though please make us aware at the time of booking of any specific dietary requirements.
After your experience, you are welcome to make the most of the remainder of your day in the Zoo and, if time allows, even return to the sanctuary within 7 days for just £1 per person …what great value! We now also offer this experience for two people.
