Junior Animal Carer Experience
Calling all youngsters aged between 8 and 15 years old! Whether you are a budding animal carer of the future, thinking of any career working in animal care, or simply mad on animals, then look no further! Our Junior Animal Carer Experience, involving exclusive one-to-one time with your very own VIP Guide, will give you the perfect opportunity to go behind the scenes and find out just what it takes to become a animal carer.
Become part of our keeping team and help care for our wallabies, farm animals, primates, reptiles, big cats and more! Including close encounters with our meerkats, lemurs and minibeasts, even help to give the big cats their toys!
No two Junior Animal Carer Experiences are the same but all offer the amazing opportunity for you to step in to the animal carer’s role and learn what they do, as you assist with their duties including. You will be preparing the animals feed, cleaning out the lemurs and given exclusive behind the scenes access and up close and personal encounters with our lemur groups. After that you will join our meerkat mob to feed them their lunch. You can then choose whether you want to help feed our farmyard friends or handle our invertebrates and reptiles before heading over to help care for our rescued big cats by helping to arrange their enrichment for the day.
As a participant, you will be need to be accompanied throughout the experience by your parent or guardian, who will not take part in activities but will be able to watch you undertaking your duties. A comfort break, including snack and drink is included for the participant. After your experience, you are welcome to make the most of the remainder of your day in the sanctuary and, if time allows, even return within 7 days for just £1 per person …what great value

This experience is also available for 2 children, (2 parents or guardians will be able to accompany the children throughout the experience but will not be able to participate in the activities - adult admission applies).
