Join us for some fiendishly Spooktacular fun here at the Sanctuary this October half term. We’ve got all the spine tingling thrills here for you to try out! Whether you choose to do our Spooktacular Sanctuary Trail, discovering the slightly altered sights and sounds of the Sanctuary or partake in our Spooky crafting, or our unique animal experience, or just simply walk around to enjoy our Halloween spectacle, you’re in for a ‘treat’…. or is it a ‘trick’?

So what surprises do we have in store for you…

Spooktacular Sanctuary Trail

Winding its way around the Sanctuary our Spooktacular Sanctuary Trail* will be fiendishly scary in all the right ways. Starting at our extinction graveyard you will discover the fate of past animals who roamed our planet. Moving on test your nerves with our ‘dare to feel’ boxes and discover which animals are lurking in the dark.  Try not to scream at our giant spider and guess what animals are hidden in the clues. Don’t get lost in our giant maze whilst trying to find our escapee in the middle. Get creative and have some fun making your own spooky Halloween decorations.

Dressing up Selfie competition

Why not make your time with us even more scarily fun by dressing up too? You could come as a zombie, a skeleton, a ghost, a witch, or whatever makes your look frightening! Take the spookiest photo at our selfie station and enter our competition by posting your photo on our Instagram or Facebook pages using the hashtag #sanctuaryspooktacular, and don’t forget to tag the WildheartAnimalSanctuary too! We are looking for the best dressed person, couple, family or group, with great prizes to be won!!

Spooky Crafting

Go batty for our spooky crafts and have a hoot whilst doing so! We will have two crafting stations open from 10am till 3.30pm every day with loads of fun making halloween themed crafts, with a chance for some upcycling too!

Café

Enjoy some Terrifyingly Tasty Treats from the Wildheart Café! Pumpkin spiced hot drinks, Pumpkin soup, Spooky themed treats and Spiced lattes to get you in the Halloween spirit.

Join us for a totally unique Halloween Spooktacular animal enrichment experience.

Price: £30 (including Sanctuary entry)*

Commencing at 10am (on dates below) with a pumpkin carving workshop set within our spooktastic Pluto Fort you can create your own bespoke designs.  Your workshop host will be on hand to give you the opportunity to learn all about our animal residents and give you some inspiration for your design!  

Next up is your chance to relax in our beautiful Wildheart Café by the sea with a complimentary hot drink and tasty Halloween treat!

Your session will end with an hour-long exclusive animal enrichment experience which will include the chance to see our big cats, monkeys and meerkats enjoying some pumpkin play – possibly with your creation! 

With Sanctuary entry included with this 2.5 hour experience you can really make the most of your day and stay on after to enjoy the Sanctuary at your leisure.
